The DVD to DivX Rip software can rip your favorite DVD movies to VCD, SVCD, AVI, DivX. With the DVD Rip software, you can rip DVD movies’ any segment, furthermore, set output
file size to fit your CD-R. Anyway, the DVD Rip software will provide you with new experience in DVD Rip, DVD to VCD, DVD to DivX, DVD to AVI, DVD to MPEG.
Now let’s see how to rip DVD movies into other formats with the DVD Rip software.
First of all, you need to install DivX codec (It is Free) if your computer has no DivX codec. Please download it from here or http://www.divx.com/.
Step 1
Load your DVD movie in the DVD drive by clicking "Open DVD" in the File menu or the "DVD" button in the main interface. The DVD Rip software will automatically scan your movie. In the File menu, you can also specify to encode certain segment or chapter.
Step 2
Under the “Input” area, click on the “Index” drop down list box to select the title you want to decode.
Step 3
Under the “Input” area, please click on the “Audio” drop down list box to select the language for your movie.
Step 4
If you wish to encode a different camera angle, just click on the “Angle” pull down list box, the default value is recommended.
Step 5
Under the “Input” area, please click on the “Subtitle” drop down list box to select the subtitle for your movie.
Step 6
Click on the "Format" dropdown list in the Output area to select an output format you want to encode.
If you want to specify the output format setup, just click “Output Settings…” in the Settings menu to set.
All advanced settings, you can find out the introduction by click “Contents” in the Help menu.
Step 7
Now start selecting the aspect ratio in the "Zoom" dropdown list in the Output area. Default is None( Letter Box 4/3). None( Letter Box 4/3), Medium(4/3) and Pan Scan(4/3) is to convert 16:9 to 4:3 while Full(16/9 or 4/3 input) is to keep the same ratio as the original movie. You can use the playback option to test your selection too.
Step 8
Enter the output folder in “Output Folder” box or click the “Browse” button to select.
Step 9
If you want to save as specific file size, select "Custom size" in the “Volume Size” dropdown list and click the “Settings” button to set, the default is 5MB. When selecting "Infinite", the output file will be one file.
Step 10
Once you are satisfied with you choices, click the red button to begin the ripping.
Please Note: During DVD ripping, don't run other large program to avoid lowering ripping speed.
